CNA / It Figures
60 seconds of everyday life. Captured in 1.5 seconds.
A continuous opening-title sequence bringing everyday Singaporeans together in one carefully timed moving shot.

The brief
Feature people from everyday walks of life in everyday situations, leaving space for graphics to be added later. The finished sequence needed to run under 60 seconds.
The challenge
Capture every group in a single camera move, with coordinated action and consistent lighting across the entire scene.
Our approach
Senthil worked out the capture time, camera speed and spacing: filming at 1,000fps required just 1.5 seconds of recording to produce 60 seconds of playback at 25fps.
With the camera mounted on a van travelling at 65km/h, the action covered approximately 27 metres.
The finished shot
Rain delayed production, but the team secured the continuous shot within three takes.
